Description

At open-play doubles - also known as round-robin or drop-in - individual players rotate through the doubles positions: you don't need a partner; you can come for a few games or stay for the whole session.  

​

Just add your racquet to the line!

​

There are open sessions for women's, men's and mixed doubles (including novice mixed doubles).

​​

Who Can Play

​

The round-robin open-play sessions are for tennis-club members, as well as their occasional guests.  New owners and  renters, as well as rusty players, are welcome to join a few sessions on a trial basis before deciding whether to become club members.  

 

This policy ensures inclusivity and encourages everyone to participate in our tennis community.  After a few trial sessions, you will need to become a member to continue participating in the Open Round Robin Play on a regular basis.

Women's 

​

Women's Members' Round Robin is for novice-intermediate play.

​

Schedule (November 2024 - April 2025)

• Mondays: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm, Charlotte Center courts 2 and 3

• Wednesdays: 9:00 am - 10:30 am, Charlotte Center courts 2 and 3

There are also level-targeted sessions for 2.5 - 3.0 level play and for 3.0+ and up play; see Court Reserve.

Men's

​

Men's Members' Round Robin is available to men of all levels.

• Mondays: 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm, CanAm courts 4 and 5

• Wednesdays: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm, Charlotte courts 1, 2, and 3

• Fridays: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Charlotte courts 1, 2, and 3

Mixed Members' Round Robin  is available to women and men of all levels.

• Mondays: 7:30 am - 9:00 am, CanAm courts 4 and 5

• Wednesdays: 7:30 am - 9:00 am, Charlotte courts 1, 2, and 3

Mixed Novice

Mixed Novice Members Round Robin caters to recent Taste of Tennis graduates and the novice or very rusty players looking for friendly play: come out and have fun while developing skills.
